The Global JXDM was designed to provide XML components as building blocks for the schemas in Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) IEPDs are baseline specifications that can be reused, extended, or adapted. Global's XML Structure Task Force (XSTF) has compiled a list of the Top 100+ high priority IEPDs that must be designed and implemented.
To understand exactly what an IEPD is and what goes into it review the Global JXDM IEPD Guidelines v1.1.
There are a number of on-going IEPD efforts, as well as corresponding example IEPDs implemented from various versions of GJXDM. Here are links to some of these.
If you are learning about IEPDs, a good one to start with is Amber Alert 2.0 contained in a prototype catalog and broken down into its constituent artifacts. This IEPD was developed with GJXDM 3.0.2. The official package is Amber Alert 2.0 in the Justice Standards Clearinghouse.
Here are other examples of IEPDs and schemas built from one or more versions of GJXDM:
At SEARCH are Field Interview Report, Charging Document, Sentence Order, and Incident Report
At the Justice Standards Clearinghouse are Rap Sheet, Arrest/Incident Report, Amber Alert, and Inmate Record
At the National Center for State Courts is a Traffic Citation
